Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity providing vital psychological services within a supportive school setting near Troy, MI for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year. This position focuses on ensuring students’ academic, social, and emotional well-being across elementary and middle school environments. Your expertise will guide interventions, conduct assessments, and collaborate with educators and families to foster a nurturing learning atmosphere.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid licensure as a School Psychologist in Michigan
• Demonstrated experience in a K-12 educational setting, preferably at elementary or middle school level
• Strong understanding of psychological assessments, behavioral interventions, and special education processes
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Commitment to culturally responsive and inclusive practices

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver onsite psychological services to students, ranging from direct assessment and intervention to crisis management
• Serve 20-30 hours per week at either three elementary schools or two middle schools (assignment based on need)
• Conduct evaluations to determine eligibility for special education and provide actionable feedback to educational teams
• Develop and implement individual and group counseling sessions, utilizing evidence-based interventions
• Partner with staff and parents to create effective support strategies that address behavioral and learning challenges
• Maintain comprehensive documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines
