Filter of Hope is a Christian nonprofit organization with a mission of sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ and providing clean drinking water to families worldwide in desperate need of both. Role Description We’re seeking an experienced Controller to oversee all accounting operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial systems. This full-time role manages accounting functions, prepares financial reports, maintains compliance with nonprofit standards, and supports leadership with budgeting and analysis. Key Responsibilities Manage general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll Oversee monthly closes and financial reporting Ensure GAAP and nonprofit compliance (IRS Form 990, ECFA, audits) Assist CFO and leadership with forecasting and budgeting Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred) 5+ years of accounting experience, nonprofit experience preferred Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting Detail-oriented, trustworthy, and aligned with our mission Headquarters Location 1400 Jack Warner Parkway, Tuscaloosa, AL.
