RN Telemetry I

This is a 30-bed Acute Care Cardiac Telemetry Unit. RNs will be responsible for caring for patients with significant histories of cardiac disease or related processes. These positions will help stabilize staffing for the Cardiovascular Telemetry Unit. Travelers will assist with staffing needs and may be needed to precept new hires. The unit typically supports patients with conditions such as chest pain, congestive heart failure, and advanced heart failure. Patients may also require echocardiograms, stress tests, and/or diagnostic and interventional heart catheterization. Additionally, the unit handles patients undergoing procedures such as Mitraclip, Watchman, Tykosyn initiation, and TAVR. The unit may overflow generalized med/surg patients as needed or care for other non-cardiac patients as required. RNs may be required to float primarily to other acute care med/surg units. Staffing guidelines are typically at 5:1.
