Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in a Level 1 Trauma Center and have significant exposure to Neuro and Orthopedic surgeries.

Position Details

• Shift: Nights (3x12 hours: 18:45 - 06:15)
• Duration: 13 Weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: The facility may cancel one shift every two-week pay period.
• Weekend Requirement: Flexible scheduling, including weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Circulate and assist during surgical procedures in a Level 1 Trauma Center.
• Provide safe and effective patient care in the operating room.
• Collaborate effectively with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals.
• Oversee the implementation of the surgical plan and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Operating Room setting; 3-4 years is preferred.
• Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center is required.
• Current BLS certification is mandatory.
• Circumvent skills and proficiency in surgical procedures, particularly in Orthopedics, Spine, and Neuro.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and handle diverse case types.
• First-time travelers are welcome!

Additional Information

• This unit comprises a 25-bed Level 1 Trauma Center.
• No Cardiac or Transplant surgeries will be conducted within this unit.
• Medication system utilized: Pyxis.
• Charting system: Epic.
