Key Responsibilities
As an LMFT at Archbold Psychiatric Services, you will:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of individual and couple clients to evaluate mental and emotional well-being, tailoring treatment plans based on specific needs and goals.
- Deliver individual therapy sessions addressing various mental health concerns, such as anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges.
- Facilitate couples therapy sessions focused on improving communication, resolving conflicts, and enhancing relational dynamics.
- Develop personalized treatment plans through collaboration with clients, ensuring that their voices are integral in the decision-making process.
- Regularly review and adjust treatment plans based on client progress, providing insights into strategies and methodologies used.
- Document assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes promptly, ensuring compliance with organizational standards for record-keeping.
- Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with healthcare professionals when necessary, enhancing the holistic care provided to clients.
- Provide crisis intervention to clients in immediate distress, utilizing de-escalation techniques and resources to maintain their safety.
- Stay informed about the latest advancements in marriage and family therapy, attending professional development sessions for continuous skill enhancement.
- Uphold the highest ethical standards, maintaining strict confidentiality and compliance with all relevant legal guidelines.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your clients will range from teens to adults and couples, each facing diverse mental health issues that require a thoughtful and tailored approach. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field.
- An active license as a Marriage and Family Therapist issued by the State Board.
- Demonstrated experience in providing therapy, preferably with skills in individual and couples therapy.
- Previous experience engaging with children, adults, and families in therapeutic settings is highly valued.
- Excellent communication skills with proficiency in generating comprehensive client reports and case documentation, including electronic health records.
Preferred Experience
