Medical Assistant

Careerscape is supporting a client opening for a Remote Entry-Level Medical Assistant. This role focuses on supporting patients, coordinating healthcare-related administrative tasks, maintaining medical records, and assisting healthcare teams in a virtual environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation

• Support patient onboarding and intake processes
• Track follow-up appointments and care coordination activities
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information
• Assist with insurance and billing-related documentation

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Medical Assistant certification preferred but not required where applicable
• Associate’s degree in a healthcare-related field is a plus
• 0–2 years of experience in healthcare, customer service, administration, or support roles
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn healthcare software systems
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally
