Seasonal Behavioral Technician (Middlesex County, NJ) – $300 Sign-on Bonus Base pay range: $20.00/hr - $25.00/hr Job Summary As a Seasonal Behavioral Technician, you will support children with developmental and intellectual disabilities in‑home, in‑community, and in‑center. Providers typically work 5–20 hours per week, with 2–4 hour shifts primarily scheduled in the evenings. Services are hands‑off, emotionally supportive, and designed to promote client alertness, engagement, and emotional well‑being. Roles & Responsibilities Provide non‑physical, emotional, and behavioral support to children and families Ensure the safety and well‑being of the client Implement strategies outlined in each child’s Individual Support Plan Conduct functional assessments, including Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) Use redirection strategies to manage behavioral concerns Submit visit notes promptly following each session in accordance with organizational and compliance guidelines Respond to crises using de‑escalation and safety strategies Engage clients in interest‑based activities to support growth and awareness Attend case reviews, team meetings, and required trainings Follow all agency protocols, procedures, and professional guidelines Qualifications Authorized to work in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship available) High School Diploma required Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or a related field is preferred but not required; completed candidates strongly encouraged to apply At least one (1) year of relevant experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, preferably children Must complete the NJ CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification within 6 months of hire Must be working towards receiving their Registered Behavioral Technician Certification within 6 months of hire Initiative to frequently check emails for admin communications Valid New Jersey Driver’s License and proof of auto insurance Must pass all state and federal background checks Bilingual (Spanish‑speaking) candidates are encouraged to apply Skills / Abilities Active listening and emotional intelligence Positive leadership and adaptability in dynamic environments Patience, compassion, and empathy in client interactions Strong verbal and written communication skills Organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and collaboratively Familiarity with evidence‑based approaches for developmental disabilities Proficiency in client engagement and behavioral redirection strategies Benefits / Compensation Starting Rate: $20.00/hr Opportunities for professional growth Dynamic and supportive work environment Ongoing job training and professional development Group health coverage and AFLAC options Short and long‑term disability plans 40 hours of Accruable Paid Time Off annually for part‑time employees Sign‑On Bonus
