Position Summary This position is responsible for recording transactions in the Fathom general ledger, maintaining and reconciling assigned account balances, ensuring support for all transactions, assisting with the month-end close process, understanding account variances to prior periods, and preparing analysis and reports for Fathom Finance leadership. Key Responsibilities or Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Prepare journal entries to record monthly transactions in the general ledger, ensuring support for each entry Assist with monthly close, including completion of assigned tasks in a timely manner, reconciling assigned account balances, reviewing and explaining account variances vs. prior periods, and ensuring accuracy and completion of accounting records Account for cash, including cash application to AR subledger and coding all cash receipts and payments to the ledger Account for fixed assets, leases, and debt, including updating detailed subledgers Account for prepaid asset and accrued liabilities, including payroll, benefits, and commissions Account for intercompany transactions between Fathom entities and reconciling each month to ensure proper elimination in the consolidation Assist internal customers in researching accounting matters and ensuring the general ledger is accurately presented Required Skills/Abilities Ability to juggle multiple tasks and shift focus often with ease Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to communicate with internal resources in a courteous manner Ability to work in Quickbooks system Embody Fathom’s Core Values Focus on excellence: Foster a culture of continuous improvement dedicated to safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery.
