This full-time position offers the opportunity to work closely with students and staff, ensuring every child receives a quality education in a supportive environment. Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification for Arizona
- Experience in delivering Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for elementary-aged students
- Familiarity with instructional and behavioral management strategies tailored to special education
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to foster a safe, inclusive, and welcoming classroom climate
Core Responsibilities:
- Plan, implement, and adapt lessons for students with diverse learning needs in grades K-5
- Develop and monitor IEPs, providing input to the education team and families
- Use evidence-based teaching methods to maximize student engagement and success
- Track and document student progress, maintaining accurate records and reporting as needed
- Collaborate with general education staff, therapists, and parents to deliver a cohesive support network for students
- Participate in professional development to stay up-to-date on the latest educational practices
