You value simplicity, diversity of thought and are unafraid to challenge constraints and standard procedures to achieve the desired Agile design in partnership with additional subject matter experts. You'll manage all team members to create a modular, scalable solution that addresses/incorporates future architectural changes and designs. You will guide the teams engineering practices in test-driven development, continuous integration, and automated deployment. You are a hands-on people manager who coaches their team and removes roadblocks for the team to be successful. You will report to the Director, IT CPQ. You will work Hybrid in Milwaukee, WI.Primary Responsibilities:In partnership with technical subject matter experts, you will lead the team accountable for the design and technological architecture of the productGuide project teams on technology strategy related to coding practices, continuous integration and automated deploymentManage the technical design of the product and make architecture decisions at a team and product levelCoach the technical team, specifically with code reviewsBe a hands-on, working leader who engages in coding to help the team to develop solution and solve all surfacing problems at handIdentify and remove technical impedimentsWork with Business Product Owner(s) to align the roadmap with strengths and opportunities within the technical stackBe an advisor with the Product owner(s) in story creation and acceptance criteria, and communicate tradeoffs with DesignersAlways look for better ways of solving technical problems and designing the solution, not afraid of challenging the status quoProvide the team a roadmap for implementing software engineering practices for higher code qualityShare responsibility with Product Owner(s) for building reusable and scalable componentsMonitor performance of information technology systems to determine cost and productivity levelsDevelop budget and monitor expendituresMeet with IT staff to determine impact of proposed changes to hardware or software on computerResearch and implement technological strategic solutionsSeek out and embrace relevant perspectives when assessing a situation or a decision; demonstrate clear understanding of multiple viewpointsThe Essentials - You Will Have:Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of relevant work experienceLegal authorization to work in the US is required - We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job openingAbility to travel up to 25%The Preferred - You Might Also Have:Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of management experience.Degree in CS, MIS, Software Engineering, or equivalent engineering/technical disciplineExperience with a commercial facing portfolio with $5B+ in revenueUnderstanding of web-based application development and management experienceBring insight into newest technologies and trendsFamiliar with Cloud/DevOps environments including Azure DevOpsExperience in Agile Development, with SAFe experienceUnderstand relationship with Product Owner, Design Lead and rest of technical teamExperience managing technical priorities within the BacklogExperience managing the overall delivery through the aligned teamWhat We Offer:Health Insurance including Medical, Dental and Vision401kPaid Time offParental and Caregiver LeaveFlexible Work Schedule where you will work with your manager to enjoy a work schedule that can be flexible with your personal lifeTo learn more about our benefits package, please visit at This position is part of a job family.
