Position NameComplete Care Management Clerk (Outreach Clerk) DepartmentComplete Care Management (Population Health) Job Function: Outbound telephonic patient outreach for patients with chronic conditions (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, osteoporosis). Core Duties: Convincing patients of the importance of lab work/appointments and scheduling them directly for appointments and lab work (e.g., A1c, flu shots) using Kaiser's internal systems. Performance Metric: Must be able to make a minimum of 50-60 outbound calls per day. Productivity is monitored. Must-Have Qualifications (Non-Negotiable) Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience: At least 1 year of recent medical/healthcare background combined with call center or customer service experience. Examples cited: Previous experience as a Medical Assistant (MA) or similar medical role has been very successful. Focus: Experience with outgoing/outbound calls is preferred over strictly inbound. Skill: strong willingness to learn, high motivation, and a desire to make a difference with patients. Systems: Comfort with a significant learning curve related to maneuvering within Kaiser's online medical record system, Epic/HealthConnect. Nice-to-Have / Preferred Qualifications "Icing on the Cake": Outgoing calls/customer service experience in a medical setting. Kaiser Experience: Previous Kaiser Permanente experience is a bonus, even if it was on the AR/Insurance side, as they may be more familiar with internal systems. The manager will entertain reviewing these resumes. Non-Negotiable Exclusions Insurance Only: Candidates with only insurance experience and no medical/healthcare background are not a good fit and should be screened out. Required Screening: No drug screens, no physical exams, and no motor vehicle reports (MVRs) are required for this position.
