Vascular Technologist
Vascular Technologists assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of disorders affecting the vascular system. Vascular technologists perform noninvasive vascular exams in order to assess for vascular disease or disorders. Vascular technologists work with a high level of independence. The vascular sonographer is responsible for providing patient care and safety throughout the exam. The sonographer should know how to respond appropriately in emergencies.
Minimum Education: Complete an accredited vascular technology program
Minimum Work Experience: Experience performing vascular exams
Required Licenses: Cardiovascular Technologist and Technician Registered Vascular Technologist BLS Certification Compliance with Continuing Education Requirements
