Job Summary

Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Intermediate Care (IMC), and Stepdown to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care and monitor patient conditions in a PCU setting.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including educators, care managers, and social workers.
• Administer and monitor PCA pumps, cardizem, insulin, and other medications as needed.
• Perform telemetry monitoring and use specialized equipment such as Alaris IV pumps.
• Follow hospital policies, including the prohibition of artificial nails in patient care areas.
• Participate in unit challenges such as staffing and assist with hourly rounding to enhance patient experience.

Qualifications

• Active RN license, eligible for Nebraska practice.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Pass open book skills exam during orientation with a minimum score of 90%.
• Ability to handle a patient load with a RN ratio of 1:4 during day and night shifts.
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical records preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to float to medical-surgical areas as needed.
