Job Title: Payments RFP Strategy Consultant

Location: onsite in one of these locations: Dallas, TX or Farmington Hills, MI or San Francisco, CA

Overview:

Our Banking client is seeking an experienced and results-driven professional to lead the development and implementation of a centralized Request for Proposal (RFP) process within the Payments organization. This role will be instrumental in designing efficient workflows, managing end-to-end RFP responses, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

Centralized RFP Process Development: Design and implement a scalable, standardized RFP framework including templates, best practices, and workflow automation.

Project Coordination: Manage multiple concurrent RFP projects, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to quality standards.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the central point of contact for Sales and other stakeholders. Partner with subject matter experts across Payments to gather and validate content.

Content Management: Build and maintain a centralized repository of pre-approved RFP responses. Establish regular review processes to keep content current and accurate.

Reporting & Analytics: Develop and maintain RFP performance metrics (e.g., win rates, turnaround times). Present actionable insights to leadership.

Continuous Improvement: Evaluate and enhance the RFP process using feedback, automation tools, and industry best practices to drive efficiency and effectiveness.

Required Qualifications:

5–7 years of experience managing RFP processes, preferably within the financial services or payments industry.

Proven background in product management, project management, or payment operations.

Strong knowledge of U.S. Payments systems (ACH, Card, Wire, Check, and Real-Time Payments).

Experience working within matrixed organizations and leading cross-functional efforts.

Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.

Exceptional communication, organization, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or 7 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Payments or Treasury Management experience.

Familiarity with compliance and regulatory standards related to financial services RFPs.

Strategic planning expertise and a track record of driving process improvements.
