Machinist
We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team and assist in managing the backlog in our Sheet Metal Mechanic department. This role involves operating various machines on a 1st shift schedule, from Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain sheet metal machinery effectively.
- Read and interpret complex blueprints and specifications.
- Perform layout and drilling of holes, and install fasteners, bearings, bushings, and countersinks.
- Apply sealants, primers, and paints as required.
- Utilize hand and power tools during assembly processes.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of three years of experience in aircraft/aerospace manufacturing assembly.
- Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and work instructions.
- Experience with varied and complicated assemblies.
- Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination.
