About the Position

Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 5 years required License: Valid State License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC required Must-Have: - Previous charge experience - Experience with a patient ratio of 4:1 - Experience with Epic charting system - Required travel experience Description: Emergency Room Registered Nurse needed. ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications are required. Every other weekend is required. A minimum of 5 years of ER nursing experience is required as per manager's request. The daily census ranges from 50 to 70 patients. Patient age groups include neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. There are 12 rooms and 11 beds available in the unit. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, and unit secretary. Key skills include BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation, emergency medications, and interpretation of arterial blood gases. Management of dysrhythmias and procedural sedation administration/monitoring are also required. Isolation precautions and the use of PPE are necessary. Weekend coverage is required, with up to 3 weekend shifts per week. No separation time is required for return staff or travelers. A maximum of 7 days of requested time off is allowed per contract. Candidates must provide a complete work history verification for the past 7 years. All compliance documents are due 10 days prior to the start of the contract.
