Job Title

Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Location

Latrobe, PA | Progressive Care Unit

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting with nurse-to-patient ratios of 4–5:1, up to 6:1
• Monitor and manage patients requiring intermediate-level care, including continuous cardiac monitoring and hemodynamic assessment
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and established clinical protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Float within the hospital and potentially to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius as needed
• Complete all required pre-start modules prior to entering the facility and adhere to all compliance timelines

Required Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania RN license or valid Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a PCU/IMC/Stepdown setting
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required at submission (AHA certifications only accepted)
• Must be available to work every other holiday
• Candidates must be willing to float within the hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius if needed
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility (based on driver's license address) to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Cerner electronic health records system
• Two supervisor references preferred at time of submission
