ASCP Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) | RN - Cath Lab Specialist
Join a dedicated healthcare team providing personalized, high-quality patient care in a cardiovascular catheterization lab setting. This role involves preparing patients and procedure rooms, circulating during all cardiovascular procedures, and ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols. Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary team members to deliver exceptional care and maintain respectful, professional relationships.
Essential Functions
- Deliver direct patient care and support as an integral part of the healthcare team.
- Monitor and document patients' physical, mental, and emotional status, reporting any changes promptly.
- Assist in circulating for all invasive and noninvasive cardiovascular procedures.
- Comply with HIPAA regulations to protect patient health information.
- Serve a patient population ranging from adults to geriatric individuals.
- For RNs: provide procedural sedation according to facility policies.
- Manage procedure time-outs and ensure quality assistance with cardiovascular interventions.
- Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies for all procedures.
Minimum Knowledge and Skills
- Fundamental principles of patient care application.
- Effective communication skills.
- Basic computer and keyboarding proficiency.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.

Education and Experience
- Graduate of an accredited radiology technology program, Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, or accredited nursing program.
- Preferred: At least one year of experience in a catheterization lab.
Licenses and Certifications
- Current licensure as a radiology technologist or Registered Nurse in the relevant state.
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist certification.
- Healthcare Provider BLS certification through AHA or ARC prior to start.
- ACLS certification within six months of hire.
Special Requirements
- Availability for regular and holiday on-call shifts with a 30-minute response time.
