Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments to accurately diagnose a wide range of mental health disorders.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on the unique needs of each patient, ensuring the application of evidence-based practices.
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, monitor their effectiveness closely, and adjust dosages as necessary to optimize patient outcomes.
• Deliver psychotherapy and counseling services employing various therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT).
• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care, ensuring holistic treatment approaches.
• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and self-management strategies important for their recovery.
• Regularly document and monitor patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on observable outcomes.
• Conduct consistent follow-up appointments to ensure continued effectiveness of treatment and address any emerging concerns.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and ongoing clinical supervision sessions aimed at enhancing both professional development and the quality of patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on serving individuals within the assisted living facility who are experiencing various mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia. You will engage with a diverse population, providing care that respects their individual life experiences and cultural backgrounds, ensuring that each patient receives personalized attention and support throughout their recovery journey.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and possess board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. A valid nursing license to practice in the state of Florida is required, along with a solid understanding of psychiatric medications, psychotherapy techniques, and mental health treatments.

Preferred Experience

While experience in an assisted living or inpatient psychiatric setting is preferred, we welcome highly motivated candidates who can demonstrate relevant clinical experience. Compensation and Benefits
