Job Requirements

• Active Pennsylvania Nurse Practitioner license required
• Current Nurse Practitioner certification required
• At least 1 year of clinical experience required
• Previous night shift experience strongly preferred
• Emergency medicine experience strongly preferred
• Ability to work a full-time schedule in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Comfortable caring for adult patients with occasional adolescent needs
• Strong assessment, triage, and independent decision-making skills

Responsibilities

• Assess patients entering the facility during overnight hours
• Evaluate and treat acute and chronic medical concerns
• Support initiation of detox treatment in collaboration with nursing staff
• Address urgent and emergent medical issues as they arise
• Provide high-quality care to a primarily adult patient population
• Work independently with on-site nursing support and physician backup by phone
• Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently
• Help ensure continuity of care in a high-volume correctional health setting
