This unit often has patients with cardiac IV infusions in addition to ICU level infusions such as Levophed, Cardene, Neosynephrine, and Insulin drips. These infusions require frequent titrations and continuous monitoring of vital signs and cardiac functions. This unit also houses patients s/p TNK administration with frequent neurological assessments; patients with high 02 requirements; pericardial drains; temporary pacemakers; EKOs treatment; Femstop management; STEMI post cath, EKOS treatment for DVT, and snakebite s/p antivenom administration. Patient care is RN driven with supporting role from PCTs. RNs will update charge nurse on patient conditions but independently consult with medical management team members regarding changes in patient s condition. Special Equipment: - #Tier2 Travel Compliance RTO Resume License in hand required with submittal Certification verification 2 years experience in service line required Attention Recruiters: Facility conducts its own drug screen upon arrival, which includes Marijuana. Please inform your traveler. This drug screen is mandatory, and a positive result is an automatic cancellation, no exceptions. Even after completing drug screen for clearance, candidate should avoid anything that could result in a positive DS when they arrive onsite (including CBD products). Local Radius: RN/LVN: 150 miles Allied/CNA: 50 miles Local Rule: not accepted Return traveler Status. Previous perm staff must be gone 1 year in order to return as a traveler Labs: Clinicians must be available to complete needed lab items within 72 hours of accepting offer or have a plan in place for completion in that timeframe. Charting: Altera experience preferred, not required Travel experience preferred Hard document due date: Thursday 2pm CST prior to start. May be flexible on a case-by-case basis if CL communicates pending docs/ETAs to facility contact by doc due date. Modules: Modules are non-billable and factored in NBO, average 6-8 hours Modules are completed during orientation
