Responsibilities Plan and teach standards-aligned Biology lessons emphasizing phenomena, inquiry, and the science & engineering practices. Facilitate labs and investigations, ensuring strict adherence to lab safety and chemical hygiene procedures. Use formative and summative assessments to monitor progress; differentiate for diverse learners and implement IEP/504 accommodations. Maintain accurate records, communicate regularly with families/guardians, and uphold classroom routines. Collaborate with science department colleagues, case managers, and counselors; attend required meetings/duties. Utilize instructional technology to support learning. Qualifications Valid NJ certification in a relevant area (Chemistry or Physical Sciences). Demonstrated success with lab-based, inquiry-driven instruction and inclusive practices. Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills. Additional Employment Requirements Approved criminal history background check for district 3710 Pass the Trash approval Proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status. Current residency in New Jersey or approved residency waiver, or candidate agreement to obtain residency within one year of employment.
