Job Description Summary

Performs a variety of tasks, primarily in Custodial/Janitorial Services, related to maintaining the University's facilities. Hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 4:30 am to 1:00 pm.

Job Description

Essential Duties:

• Sweeps and mops rooms and hallways; dusts and performs general cleaning of rooms; cleans windows
• Vacuums and shampoos carpets; may strip and wax floors; cleans and sanitizes restrooms
• Picks up trash, debris and/or litter from University buildings and grounds; empties trash receptacles
• May assist with events
• Assists with maintaining safe indoor/outdoor surfaces including during inclement weather
• May pick up and/or deliver equipment and supplies
• May perform cleaning/washing duties in dining halls
• May assist with other related campus needs as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• Requires a high school diploma or GED
• No experience required
• May require driver's license
• This position requires the ability to successfully pass a Post-Offer Pre-Employment (POPES) physical

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of the use of cleaning equipment/materials
• Ability to understand and follow directions
