Offloader - Final Mile

Overview Physical warehouse position unloading tractor trailer loads of furniture and staging them for deliveries. Responsibilities Unloading tractor trailer loads of furniture. Staging items for deliveries. Ensuring items are assembled according to manufacturer directions. Performing a minimum daily offloading output as required by management. Maintaining a clean and safe workspace. Using equipment properly to ensure safety. Executing placement of delivery items as specified by management. Communicating effectively and working professionally with coworkers. Embracing the Werner Final Mile values. Maintaining a continuous pattern of regular and prompt attendance and working a flexible schedule. Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent experience. One or more years of experience in transportation, logistics, customer product assembly, delivery of furniture or appliances, or experience with a moving company. Must be 18 years old. Able to perform essential functions of the job. Speak English and communicate with coworkers; read assembly instructions. Physical Requirements Seeing and hearing: Read documents, 75-100%. Communicate in person, 100%. Standing and walking, 100%. Climbing, stooping, squatting, and kneeling, 0-75%. Dexterity: utilizing hand dolly/hand cart, 75-100%. Lift more than 50-80 pounds, 75-100%.
