Assistant Project Manager – Data Center Construction Reports To: Project Manager Location: Urbandale, IA | Des Moines, IA | Iowa | Remote Salary Range: $68,250 to $106,000 Role Overview Cupertino Electric is seeking an Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support complex construction projects. The APM coordinates between field teams, project teams, and customers, reviews and tracks project activities, drives team meetings, directs the work of Project Engineers and Project Coordinators, creates standardization procedures, and mentors engineering staff. Responsibilities Maintain exceptional working partnership with vendors and subcontractors. Review and track change orders, submittals, tracking logs, and related project documents. Facilitate learning, drive team meetings, and provide guidance to project personnel. Create standardization procedures and documentation for other sites. Mentor Project Engineers on standard procedures. Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, or similar preferred. Experience: Three (3) or more years specifically as a Project Engineer in electrical construction, or MEP experience in general contracting; Minimum five (5)+ years of related experience, including some time managing smaller projects. Driving Record: Valid state‑issued driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
