Busy ophthalmology/optometry office looking for an ophthalmic technician/assistant or scribe to work in our growing practice.

Ophthalmic Technicians/Assistants or Scribes work closely with an Ophthalmologist or Optometrist, gathering patient information necessary to complete a diagnosis. Assistants often see the patient before the doctor, and they are often responsible for preparing the patient for the exam and beginning the examination with standard tests and measurements.

Must have at least 2 years experience. Certification preferred. The right candidate must be punctual, detail oriented, efficient, reliable and possess a cooperative team approach.

Responsibilities include:

* all aspects of patient work up including: visual acuity assessment, refraction, history taking, diagnostic testing

*scribing or willingness to learn is a plus.

Position: is a Monday-Friday position 7:45 am-5 pm, though days/times vary day to day/week to week.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay is dependent on knowledge and experience.

Experience:

• Ophthalmic Technicians & Assistants: 2 year (Preferred)
