Role Summary
This is a senior hospital Quality & Patient Safety / Regulatory Compliance role focused on Joint Commission, CMS, and NYS Department of Health (DOH) readiness .
The person will have prepared for regulatory surveys, conducted tracers/mock surveys, identified compliance risks, analyzed data, and worked with hospital departments to create and monitor corrective action plans.

Advanced Microsoft Office skills: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Able to work with clinical, operational, and senior leadership teams

Experience facilitating teams and corrective action plans
Main Responsibilities

Conduct Joint Commission tracers, internal mock surveys, and focused standards assessments .

Assess hospital compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, and DOH standards .

Identify regulatory/compliance risks.
-
Review hospital and departmental data to measure compliance.
-
Develop and monitor Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) .
-
Work with clinical departments, operations, and leadership on regulatory readiness.

Respond to surveyor requests and help departments prepare documentation.

Serve as a liaison between hospital leadership and surveyors .

Coordinate survey activities and obtain information from different departments.

Provide training and education on regulatory requirements.

Present compliance risks and mock-survey results to leadership.

Participate in survey escort, survey runner, and tracing activities.

Maintain records of hospital survey activity and provide reports to leadership.

Participate in Quality committees, workgroups, and enterprise-wide quality projects.
