Job Description
Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical

Schedule

Full Time (36 hours) with 2 on-call shifts in 4 weeks. Day/Night/Weekend/Holiday shifts required.

Assignment Details

Position involves direct patient care in a medical/surgical setting.

Requirements

• NYS RN Licensure Required
• Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS (AHA or RQI only), NIHSS
• 2 years of medical/surgical experience required

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient and family needs, develops and implements care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Provides direct patient care, evaluates patient progress, and adjusts plans as necessary.
• Advocates for and protects the health, safety, and rights of patients.
• Educates patients and families for transitioning care beyond hospitalization.
• Utilizes evidence-based practices to enhance nursing interventions and care delivery.
• Maintains compliance with safety and infection prevention strategies.
