Product Designer

Overview The Product Designer role is based in Lincoln, NE. The Product Designer will support Product Engineering through new aftermarket product design, component updates, special option creation, installation instructions, test documentation, component testing and data collection, bill of material creation, drawing updates and detailing, and all documentation required to support new and existing product lines. Responsibilities Design new aftermarket products and develop supporting documentation. Create and enter Bills of Material into ERP systems. Complete ECRs and ECNs to document and release design changes. Develop design improvements focused on cost reduction and component quality and reliability. Produce detailed drawings and documentation to support project completion. Research and design special options based on requests from Sales and Customer Service. Apply FEA tools to improve the quality and reliability of new and existing designs. Support warranty investigations as assigned by the Product Engineering Manager. Support Engineering activities as directed by the Product Engineering Manager and Senior Designers. Perform additional duties as assigned by management or required by the position. Qualifications Must possess an Associate Degree in Engineering, Design, or Drafting. Experience with Rhino and MPanel is preferred but not required. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs; including Word, Excel, and operating software. Working knowledge of CAD and 3D modeling software. Work with basic measuring tools, calipers, tape measure, scientific calculator. #J-18808-Ljbffr
