We are curating a team for a dual-concept restaurant opening in Omaha. “Nuova Elkhorn” Restaurants,  La Vita Nuova and  Alta 1897 , stand as two expressions of a shared philosophy: We believe that quality is more important than quantity, hospitality should be genuine, and that our craftsmanship reflects our respect for local agriculture and seasonality. La Vita Nuova is a neighborhood restaurant, featuring seasonally and daily changing Italian cuisine with classic pasta and wood-fired pizza, while Alta 1897 offers chef-curated multi-course tasting experiences, in an elegant and intimate dining room. Both concepts source heavily from local growers and showcase wineries that share our dedication to responsible and ethical agriculture.

About the Service Manager role:  
We are seeking a thoughtful, service-driven professional to join our team as a full-time manager. The right candidate is someone who has a passion for the guest experience. You will lead and coach the front-of-house team to uphold service standards and maintain an unwavering dedication for excellence. You will elevate the service we provide, and enhance the overall guest experience with personal touches, creativity, and leadership.  
Demonstrating the ability to work as part of our team is just as important as the other skills you bring to the restaurant. You’ll need a strong desire to continue learning and to take a leadership role in staff education and development. Motivating and mentoring the service team is a daily duty.  
 
What you’ll do:  
Coach servers and server assistants to uphold all standards of fine-dining service  
Handle scheduling and staffing for front of house positions at Alta 1897 
Assist with booking and managing reservations  
Communicate with the culinary team to ensure a seamless experience in the dining room  
Go above and beyond to research guests and create opportunities to enhanced their experience  
Foster a culture of integrity, professionalism, and genuine hospitality  
Adapt to changing needs during service  
Present a clean and professional appearance  
Maintain a calm, courteous, and professional demeanor at all times  
 
Qualifications:  
Diverse knowledge of food and wine  
Experience in a fine-dining and/or tasting menu restaurant atmosphere  
Available to work a variety of hours, days and shifts, including weekends  
Ability to provide polished and gracious service to guests  
Excellent basic math skills and ability to operate a service POS  
Ability to move and lift 30 pounds at a time  
Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period
