Manufacturing Process Engineer

Abbott seeks an experienced Manufacturing Process Engineer for its Vascular Devices division in Temecula, California. The role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes for medical devices, with responsibility for process validation, compliance, and troubleshooting in a matrix team environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and organize complex process flow sheets with instrumentation and control specifications
• Model processes and unit operations; ensure proper equipment operation sequences
• Conduct testing and measurements to monitor process variables including temperature, pressure, and viscosity
• Troubleshoot and resolve engineering problems with manufacturing equipment and processes
• Manage corrective and preventive actions; ensure regulatory compliance of all procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Biochemical, Mechanical, Biomedical Engineering or related Science
• 3–5 years of process engineering or operations experience (or Master's degree plus 3 years)
• Experience with drug delivery systems, polymers, and small molecule product development
• Knowledge of Six Sigma, risk analysis, process validation, and scale-up methodologies
• Strong understanding of cGMP regulations, quality systems, and regulatory compliance
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and ability to work in matrix team environments

Compensation: $61,300–$122,700 base
