Job Summary:
Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse position available in a surgical services setting. The role involves coordinating and implementing patient care for individuals in the PACU, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency in the recovery process. The nurse will demonstrate clinical excellence, professionalism, and respect for patients, families, and staff, aligning with the organizations standards and mission.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Dayshift, 10-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week, starting 10/05/2026 and ending 01/02/2027.
• Required Qualifications: Current New Mexico registered nurse (RN) license or current Compact state license; current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification via the American Heart Association (AHA); current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification via the AHA; current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification via the AHA; at least 0 years of experience; graduated from an accredited Registered Nursing program. Knowledgeable in patient rights and effective communication tailored to patient developmental age.
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
• Float: Float within surgical services required.
• Additional Information: The RN is responsible for initial assessments, developing measurable individualized care plans, performing Point of Care testing, and patient discharge planning. The role emphasizes clinical decision-making, timely interventions, and patient education to promote safety and recovery.
