Role Description This full-time, on-site Veterinarian role is based at Pet Vet Inc. in Midwest City, OK. The Veterinarian will perform physical examinations, diagnose illnesses and injuries, and develop treatment plans for companion animals. Daily responsibilities include administering vaccinations, prescribing medications, performing routine and complex surgeries, and interpreting diagnostic tests such as blood work, imaging, and laboratory results. The role involves communicating clearly with clients about diagnoses, treatment options, preventive care, and home care instructions. The Veterinarian will collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff, maintain accurate medical records, uphold regulatory and ethical standards, and contribute to a positive, inclusive clinic culture. Qualifications Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent) from an accredited institution and a current, or eligible, veterinary license in the state of Oklahoma Clinical skills in small animal medicine, including physical examination, diagnosis, treatment planning, and management of acute and chronic conditions Surgical and procedural skills, such as routine spay/neuter, soft-tissue surgery, dental procedures, and familiarity with anesthesia and pain management protocols Proficiency with diagnostic tools and laboratory interpretation, including imaging, blood work, and other common veterinary tests Strong communication and client education skills, with the ability to explain complex medical information in clear, accessible language Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment, demonstrating professionalism, respect, and reliability Commitment to continuing education, adherence to evidence-based medicine, and compliance with veterinary regulations and standards of care Experience with practice management systems and accurate medical recordkeeping; prior small animal practice experience is preferred but not required #J-18808-Ljbffr
