Team Lead

Location: South Chesterfield, VA, US, 23834 Work Arrangement: Onsite Job Summary: The Team Lead provides leadership and technical direction to a team of hourly production associates, ensuring that team members are working safely and productively, and meeting defined production and quality metrics. Responsibilities: Lead a team of hourly production associates, ensuring safety and productivity. Provide leadership and assist in job set‑up. Direct daily activities in the work area to ensure daily production goals are met. Train and coach associates on manufacturing practices, quality practices, and safety procedures. Identify parts and part descriptions using work order information. Identify proper hand tools for forming crates. Communicate job status between shifts and ensure continuation of work in progress. Coordinate with supervisor for associate vacation requests. Hold monthly safety meetings. Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and tooling. Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area. Understand procedures for ordering metal, locations of parts, and contacts for order notification. Set example for proper use of all safety equipment and apparel. Have working understanding of all basic safety procedures and emergency evacuation procedures. Understand all attendance and human resource policies. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements: High school diploma or GED. Minimum 4 years of relevant experience. Strong communication and organizational skills. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without mechanical aids. Capability to stand, bend, lift, push, pull, squat, or kneel as required. Physical Requirements: Work performed in a production environment, subject to temperature variations, hazardous chemicals, mechanical parts, increased noise levels and dust.
