About the Position

Job Title: CT Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: CT Tech Duration: 1 year Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 1 year required License: Valid Compact license required Certifications: ARRT CT, ARRT R, BLS Must-Have: Previous charge experience Description: The position requires floating between units. The role does not require being on-call. Weekends are required, every other weekend. Block scheduling is required. The expected patient ratio is 1:1. The schedule consists of 7 consecutive days on, followed by 7 days off. Shifts start Thursday evening and end Wednesday morning. The hours for the shift are from 9 PM to 7 AM. A total of 2 references covering the last year of work are required for compliance. Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities. Refusal to float may result in termination of assignment or forfeiture of guaranteed hours. The following skills are required: 3D rendering techniques, including maximum intensity projection and volume rendering. Experience with abdomen scans, both with and without contrast. Expertise in adult acute care and outpatient procedures. Familiarity with various types of scans, including CT Angiography and Colonography. Knowledge of radiation safety protocols. Ability to prepare and administer contrast media. Experience in working with patients of varying age groups, including adolescents and geriatrics. Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services and social services. Special procedures may be required based on patient diagnoses presented. Staffing includes multiple CT techs during different shifts to ensure adequate coverage. Travelers must commit to working specific holidays.
