Responsibilities Welcome and register guests, fulfill requests, follow security and credit policies, and adhere to service standards. Check guests out, make change, and post charges to guest accounts following procedures. Handle cash and credit transactions, count the bank at the start and end of shift, complete reports, resolve discrepancies, and secure bank deposits. Audit Front Desk and outlets work, reconcile, and post corrections as needed. Balance and separate workloads, using computer systems (e.g., Excel). Verify F&B outlets are closed and run open/check reports to ensure no open checks. Print necessary reports and close end-of-day processes on applicable systems. Ensure rebates and house charges are properly logged. Use computer systems for reservations, daily reports, and room blocking as needed. Handle hotel emergencies according to established guidelines. Perform additional duties and projects as assigned. Qualifications 1 year of prior hotel front desk experience preferred. Flexible schedule including day, night, and overnight shifts; weekends and holidays. Ability to multitask and work under pressure in busy periods. Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods. Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs to handle guest packages or luggage. Good vision (near and far) to read and interpret written instructions. Effective communication with guests and coworkers; ability to use a 2-way radio. Ability to distinguish smells.
