Paraprofessional Or Audiologist

Step into an impactful role supporting students as a dedicated paraprofessional or audiologist within a vibrant school community near Dorchester, MA. This contract position provides an immediate start with a full-time schedule of 32.5 hours per week. Working onsite with a middle school caseload, you'll engage directly with a student with an autism diagnosis in a full inclusion environment. The assignment is set to begin as soon as possible and run tentatively through June 15, 2027, with the option to extend if the district has not yet secured a permanent hire.

Key Qualifications:

• Active, valid license or certification in Massachusetts (MA)
• Experience in a school-based setting is essential
• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Behavior Technician (BT) credentials preferred
• Established background and strong skills in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), particularly with behavioral interventions
• Comfortable working one-on-one with students, especially those with autism, in an inclusive classroom
• Prior completion of CORI background check and fingerprinting
• Capable of independently managing responsibilitiesnote, district supervision is not provided for RBTs
• Commitment to consistent, onsite attendance during school hours (7:55 AM-2:35 PM, Monday through Friday)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized support to a middle school student, implementing ABA principles to assist with social, academic, and behavioral goals
• Collaborate closely with classroom teachers and special education staff to promote inclusive practices and a positive classroom culture
• Exercise patience and expertise in responding to behavioral needs using evidence-based strategies
• Document progress and communicate regularly with the educational team
• Contribute to a safe, nurturing, and effective learning environment
