The position will be responsible to develop relationships within the medical/scientific community, provide medical and/or scientific data about AngioDynamics products and research to healthcare professionals. Clinical, scientific and technical expertise will be maintained by the MSL through review of scientific literature, attendance at assigned medical meetings and self-learning./ppstrongEssential Duties and Responsibilities/strong/pulliManages US field based activities related to specific Companys products/liliIdentify, develop, and maintain long-term collaborative relationships with physicians/liliProvide clinical information for the companys products such as responses to unsolicited requests for medical inquiries (including off-label requests) on the Companys products/liliComplies with all relevant related guidelines, standards and regulations pertaining to medical information/liliPerforms continual independent review of medical/scientific literature on the companys and competitors products and devices/liliFacilitate and vet investigator-sponsored trials and provide medical/clinical teams with feedback and insights from trial leaders/liliCollaborate with sales operations and training departments to implement field training/liliObtains appropriate approvals on scientific and clinical education resources and activities/liliServe as an internal and external educator, providing timely, balanced training regarding relevant diseases, therapeutic options, and product requirements./liliCoordinate content development to ensure integrated, efficient and consistent education information to customers/liliAttend assigned medical and scientific meetings and symposia to: a) maintain awareness of current issues and new data pertaining to assigned products and; b) to communicate scientific information./liliWorks cross functionally to ensure successful integration and execution of projects with Clinical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Health care economics, RD and Business Development./liliDemonstrates leadership behaviors and maintains alignment to compliance goals and policies./liliAssist in the development of and updates to corporate research priorities./liliEffectively integrate customer and business needs in a satisfactory manner./liliActively participates in department and cross functional meetings/liliMay perform other duties as assigned./li/ulpstrongEducation and Experience/strong/pulliClinical background in Atherectomy preferred. (Registers Nurse (RN), Pharmacist (PharmD or RPOHs), Medical Doctor (MD) or other clinical experience/liliMinimum BA/BS in appropriate scientific/medical field of study, Masters degree preferred/liliMinimum of 5 years of demonstrated relevant experience preferred. At least 1-2 years relevant experience required (clinical practice, academic research, industry)/liliPrevious Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs or similar medical communications experience in the medical device industry preferred/liliExperience with formal presentation and interaction with clinical experts is highly preferred./liliEquivalent work related experience acceptable in lieu of degree: No/li/ulpstrongSkills/Knowledge/strong/pulliDemonstrated ability to build productive relationships with personnel within and outside of the department and company./liliAbility to work effectively in multi-functional teams/liliDemonstrated credibility within the medical community./liliExceptional skills in relationship building and networking, strong personal initiative and functions well in managing a cross-functional team./liliKnowledge of FDA regulations and guidance in the area of adverse event reporting, complaint handling for medical devices./liliExemplary interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written./liliProficient in the following computer software applications: MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint./li/ulpstrongPhysical/Work Requirements/strong/ppThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
