Exciting Opportunity for an ICU Neonatal Nurse (Level 2 NICU) Job Description: * Join a team of compassionate professionals dedicated to providing exceptional care in the Level 2 NICU. * Practice independently while demonstrating awareness of all relevant aspects of patient situations. * Deliver routine and complex care, focusing on long-range goals and plans for your patients. * Develop your ability to manage and cope with the contingencies of clinical nursing. * Take on responsibilities that include: * Serving as a leader in the competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders. * Providing nursing care in accordance with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice through assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients. * Addressing the complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families. * Administering medications and treatments following protocols while monitoring for side effects and treatment effectiveness. * Documenting patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided. * Assessing learning needs and educating patients, family members, and caregivers. Job Requirements: * Education/Skills: * Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred. * Experience: * 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred. * Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications: * Current STABLE certification required (Post-resuscitation/Pre-transport Stabilization Care of Sick Infants). * Current BLS certification required (AHA only). * Current NRP certification required. * RN License in the state of TX or compact. * Position Requirements: * Attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire. * Receive preceptorship from a designated trained staff member with validated onboarding. * Complete annual competency verification requirements. * Experience: * Perinatal RN Residency or recent experience in a Perinatal Setting is preferred. * Work Schedule: * 7PM - 7AM. * Work Type: * Full Time.
