About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00-19:30 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in Med/Surg or Orthopedic nursing License: RN license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS required Must-Have: Post-operative care management experience with a multidisciplinary team Description: The unit features 24 beds with patient ratios of 1:5 and a maximum of 1:6. The unit staffing includes one unit secretary during the day and two technicians for day and night shifts. Type of equipment used includes Hill Rom beds, Pyxis medication dispensing, and Welch Allyn vital sign monitors. The documentation system utilized on the unit is Meditech. Staff are required to work every other weekend. Floating policy is based on house needs. The hospital is well-regarded for its comprehensive medical services. Staff members appreciate the positive facility culture and managerial support. This unit exclusively cares for post-operative and trauma patients.
