Assistant Director, Alumni Affinity Programs, Advancement
Boston University
Boston University Advancement
Boston University Advancement is at a pivotal moment, guided by new leadership and a clear strategic framework for growth and impact. Our work centers on three core priorities: securing $500 million in philanthropy annually; deepening relationships with a strategically defined segment of alumni and donors; and strengthening the organizational foundation while launching focused priority areas across the University.
Advancement is evolving into a highly collaborative, matrixed model that integrates new University leadership, regional engagement, and the distinctive strengths of BU’s schools and colleges. With more than 250 advancement professionals, the organization is building the capacity, partnerships, and culture required to deliver sustained philanthropic momentum and institutional impact.
Assistant Director, Alumni Affinity Programs

The Assistant Director creates and implements programs to engage undergraduate Boston University students through the Student Alumni Association. The Assistant Director will develop and coordinate programs and networking opportunities that strengthen connections between current students and alumni across various academic disciplines and interest areas, fostering mentorship relationships and career development initiatives. Additionally, this role will use data-driven assessment tools to measure program effectiveness and enhance future offerings and will partner with other Advancement units on successful program execution, including Annual Giving and Regional Networks.
