Tavens Packaging, a manufacturer of custom corrugated boxes, and point-of-purchase (POP) retail displays, is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to join their Bedford Heights, OH as a Lead Technician.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Serve as the go-to maintenance expert for the facility, troubleshooting and repairing production equipment to keep operations running safely and efficiently.
• Lead the response to equipment breakdowns by diagnosing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues, identifying root causes, and implementing long-term corrective solutions.
• Perform and oversee preventive maintenance activities on production machinery, conveyors, balers, air compressors, electrical systems, and other facility equipment to maximize uptime.
• Utilize the CMMS system to manage work orders, document repairs, track preventive maintenance schedules, and maintain accurate maintenance records
• Work closely with production supervisors to coordinate maintenance activities, prioritize repairs, and minimize disruptions to production schedules.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and enhance overall maintenance processes.
• Mentor and provide day-to-day guidance to maintenance technicians, sharing best practices and helping develop technical skills across the team.
• Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and project work, while ensuring all maintenance activities are completed in accordance with company safety standards and LOTO procedures.
