Insurance Defense Paralegal

Schedule: Full-time | Hybrid (Remote on Fridays) Our client, a well-established and highly respected law firm, is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant/Paralegal to join its collaborative and fast-paced team. Responsibilities Provide day-to-day administrative and litigation support to attorneys and paralegals. Prepare for depositions, mediations, hearings, trials, conferences, and other litigation events. Coordinate and schedule hearings, depositions, mediations, meetings, and other case-related deadlines. Maintain complex attorney calendars and monitor litigation deadlines. Prepare, organize, and maintain electronic and physical case files. Compile, organize, and manage records, exhibits, pleadings, and litigation documents. Prepare trial notebooks, binders, exhibits, and supporting materials. Draft and revise routine legal correspondence and legal documents. File pleadings and other documents electronically through the Florida E-Portal and Federal CM/ECF systems. Update case management systems and maintain accurate case status information. Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and vendors. Assist with additional administrative and litigation support as needed. Qualifications 2–3+ years of litigation legal assistant experience in a law firm. Strong understanding of the litigation process from inception through trial. Knowledge of the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. Experience with Florida E-Filing Portal and Federal CM/ECF electronic filing systems. Trial preparation experience is strongly preferred. Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills. Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail with excellent proofreading skills. Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, Adobe Acrobat). Experience with litigation case management and document management software such as Litify and iManage is preferred.
