Position Summary We are seeking a full‑time Faculty Physician to join the Riverside/VCU Family Medicine Residency Program in Newport News, Virginia. The role involves teaching, mentoring, and clinical care in a community‑based clinic and hospital settings, and helping residents achieve independent practice. Responsibilities Provide an educational experience for resident physicians (13 per class) to acquire knowledge, skills, and attitudes for independent practice. Deliver clinical care in community-based clinic and hospital settings, including low‑risk prenatal care. Utilize point‑of‑care ultrasound (POCUS) or engage in POCUS training. Participate in program education, scholarship, and community engagement activities. Qualifications Board certified in Family Medicine (MD or DO). Eligible for licensure in Virginia and current, valid state medical license. Current, valid DEA controlled substance registration. Demonstrated academic credentials and strong interest in teaching, mentoring, scholarship, and clinical care. Experience providing comprehensive care to all age groups and in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Preferred: osteopathic recognition through ACGME and experience with osteopathic residents.
