D110 Adult Probation About the Position The Program Coordinator is responsible for implementing and managing the administrative functions of the Community Restitution Program in a specific region within Maricopa County. The Program Coordinator will be developing and coordinating community services projects for justice involved individuals who are court-ordered to complete community restitution hours (which requires weekend availability). This is done in keeping with the Community Restoration Activity of the Adult Probation's Department Strategic Plan. Standard Judicial Branch business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The position is on-site and in-person but may be eligible for a hybrid teleworking schedule following six months of employment within the role (dependent on the needs of the Judicial Branch). As such, mandatory membership for all full-time employees includes payroll deducted contributions consistent with each retirement system's requirements. The current contribution rate for ASRS is 12.27% and the current contribution rate for PSPRS is 5.84% and up for the defined contribution plan and 8.82% for the defined benefit plan. - Bachelor's degree in a field related to Public Programs
- Other combinations of education and job-related experience may be considered in substitution for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis.
- Two (2) years of experience coordinating and administering public programs and services
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Principles and practices for implementing and managing administrative functions, program goals, policies, and procedures.
- Development and coordination of community service projects.
- Local and regional resource agencies and their available services.
- Safe and effective use of landscaping equipment and tools (e.g., lawn mowers, hedge/weed trimmers, leaf blowers).
- Ability to establish and maintain effective partnerships with a variety of stakeholders and community partners.

- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively in a team environment.

- Develops, coordinates, implements, and manages the administrative functions within a specific region for the Community Restitution Program.
- Recruits and maintains a diverse group of resource agencies.
- Develops special work projects to meet the need of a large complex population.
- Participates in development and implementation of program goals, policies, and procedures.
- Ensures that program goals and requirements are met.
- Keeps data system up to date and current on all resource agencies.
- Make at least annual personal contacts with all resource agencies.
- Negotiate Legal contracts and investigates liability issues.
- Compiles information and resources, performs studies, research projects.
- Using computer programs, analyze research data, generate memos, reports, correspondence, statistics, etc.
- Manages, recruit, train, and monitors clerical and paraprofessional staff.
- Provide assignment and direction to work crew leaders.
- Supervises work crews when needed and visit weekend projects.
- Maintain attendance and training standards.
- Compile equipment and inventory reports and maintain inventory control.
- Serves as liaison with other divisions, departments, community organizations and jurisdictions.
- Represents the organization at public meetings, departmental training, and conferences.
- Responds to inquiries from internal sources, outside agencies, and/or the public.
- Acts as a resource to the community by disseminating and interpreting the data collected.
- Coordinates and participates in the development and implementation of policies to enhance the county's economic position in relation to the assigned program.
- Coordinates activities of assigned program with other areas.
- May be required to work weekends based on program and operational needs.
- Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat.
- Participates in the specialized Community Restitution Program defensive tactics training and may be required to demonstrate and apply learned techniques.
- Must be willing to be exposed to OC (oleoresin capsicum) spray as part of training and certification requirements.
