Med Surg Registered Nurse
Hourly Rate: $34.18 - $50/hour (dependent on education & experience) Agency Placement Fee: 25%***Eligible for Sign-On Bonus***
The Med Surg Registered Nurse's job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Participate in a formal orientation program, including designated hours for hands-on training and simulation sessions.
- Deliver patient care under the supervision of experienced nurses while adhering to established protocols and procedures.
- Engage in simulation training to develop and refine clinical and decision-making skills in a controlled environment.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to create and implement patient care plans.
- Monitor and record patients' vital signs and report any significant changes to the healthcare team.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, post-treatment care, and preventive strategies.
- Assist with procedures and the management of medical equipment as required.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic medical records.
- Reflect on practice and receive feedback from mentors and preceptors to enhance professional growth.
- Attend workshops, seminars, and other educational opportunities to continue professional development.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with legal and ethical standards of nursing practice.
- Respond to patient requests and concerns with empathy, providing a high level of customer service.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care delivery.
- Develop leadership and teamwork skills while gaining exposure to different nursing roles and specialties.
