Evensky & Katz / Foldes Wealth Management Portfolio Management Associate Evensky & Katz / Foldes Wealth Management We are looking for a detail-oriented, technically strong professional who can support portfolio management, trading, reconciliation, and data accuracy with precision, sound judgment, and a strong commitment to the firm’s fiduciary and compliance standards. In due time, this individual would be encouraged to pursue advanced designations furthering their investment knowledge. This role is based in Miami and supports the Portfolio Management and Data Management teams. Key Accountabilities Portfolio Setup, Trading & Rebalancing Set up new clients in rebalancing software and implement their portfolios. Execute daily trading and portfolio management responsibilities with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and minimizing trade errors. Manage settlement dates, negative balances, trading restrictions, and margin requirements. Portfolio Management Process & Compliance Critically assess ongoing portfolio management processes and procedures for improvements, gaps, weaknesses, and efficiency opportunities. Ensure all trading and portfolio efforts align with the firm’s compliance policies and investment strategy. Assist in maintaining best execution reports and related compliance reviews according to internal schedules. Identify trade errors promptly and communicate the issue and proposed client‑first solution to the appropriate advisory, compliance, and management team members. Advanced Trading & Investment Execution Demonstrate proficiency with key portfolio management concepts, including asset location, tax shelter priority, tax methodology, wash sale avoidance, tax loss harvesting, transaction cost minimization, and rebalancing triggers. Execute purchases and sales of individual securities, including bonds and equities, while considering trading spreads, credit quality, and yield‑to‑maturity decisions. Liaise with outside account managers, custodians, and trading desks to manage client portfolios and execute requested transactions through completion. Private Funds & Private Credit Support Coordinate with private funds to understand redemption gates, buy/sell windows, and fund‑level approvals needed to execute transactions. Facilitate private credit subscriptions and redemptions by working with iCapital, managers, and custodians. Manage private credit client requests and inquiries related to distributions, redemptions, and other account matters. Data Reconciliation & Account Maintenance Reconcile and enter data for held‑away accounts. Perform general account data setup and cleanup on new accounts and existing within the reporting platform. Research and resolve any data and performance inaccuracies. Attributes Lives the firm’s core values: People, Community, Stewardship, Fiduciary, Trust, and Accountability. Handles a fast‑paced environment while prioritizing multiple responsibilities and deadlines. Uses critical thinking and sound judgment to identify problems, propose solutions, and follow through. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required. Investment and portfolio management theory preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Experience with CRM systems and portfolio management software preferred, such as Tamarac, Black Diamond, or Orion. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to listen carefully, clarify information, and communicate concisely.
