We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in various facilities. This role involves performing custodial and maintenance tasks to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and functionality.

Duties

• Perform general custodial duties including cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining restrooms, hallways, offices, and other common areas.
• Conduct floor care tasks such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and vacuuming to ensure all surfaces are clean and presentable.
• Assist with residential painting and touch-ups as needed to maintain the aesthetic appeal of the facilities.
• Carry out commercial cleaning tasks in accordance with established protocols to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs promptly.
• Act as a porter by ensuring that all areas are stocked with necessary supplies and that waste is disposed of properly.
• Maintain equipment used for cleaning and ensure it is in good working order.

Requirements

• Proven experience in custodial or commercial cleaning roles is preferred.
• Familiarity with floor care techniques including buffing and industrial cleaning methods is a plus.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team to achieve cleanliness goals.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness consistently.
• Good physical stamina; ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
• Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within designated timeframes.
