Position: Contract RN - Antepartum/Labor and Delivery

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Antepartum and Labor and Delivery unit for a 13-week contract. This position will require working night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with rotating weekends.

Unit Information

Location: Austin, TX
Number of Beds: 24
Number of Staff: 26 (1 Charge RN, 4 RNs, 1 Clerk during the day; no Patient Care Technicians at night)
Patient Ratios: 3:1 and 4:1; may occasionally require 2:1 depending on patient acuity
Type of Equipment: EMR Meditech and CPN
Call Requirements: None
Weekends: Rotating

Qualifications

Must Have: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN, NRP certifications
Preferred: Previous Labor and Delivery or Antepartum experience

Typical Procedures Performed

Non-stress tests
Hyperemesis management
Insulin drips
Magnesium administration
Heparin drips
