Java Developer With Apache FOP

Join a dynamic world-class IT consulting firm as a senior Java Developer. Partner in an Agile team environment and be able to independently design, develop, code, test and debug new software or significant enhancements to existing software of moderate complexity utilizing the SAFe® methodology. Develop solutions across many disciplines and be responsible for explaining solutions and procedures.

Immediate role will require working with existing agile team members to analyze the current enterprise level automated noticing system. Function as an expert in regards to XML, XSLT, XSL-FO and Apache FOP and help to architect and design an open source alternative utilizing Apache FOP. Work to collaboratively develop solution using agile methodology.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

  • Java Development
  • Spring/Spring Boot
  • Experience developing multithreaded Java applications to support parallel processing of enterprise level applications
  • Experience creating PDFs and other formatted file types utilizing XML, XSLT, XSL-FO (XSL Formatting Objects) and Apache FOP Processor
  • Generate formatted HTML E-Mail based on the same XML data sources
